Subject:newb here - trying to export a loop(?)

I've been working on a project in Vegas and have an audio track that's too short for my video clip.

I've isolated a segment of the audio in SF and created a sustaining loop so the audio now plays in SF for the length I need, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to get this (lengthened) audio file back to Vegas.

Am I using the loop function inappropriately? Can this be done w/SF?

Thanks in advance for any help,
-dave

Save that section as a new .wav file. Place this new .wav file on the timeline in Vegas and pull out the right edge as long as needed. Vegas will loop it for that duration.

Thanks Chienworks! The segment I want to repeat lies in the middle of the audio track, so if place the whole audio track in vegas and right stretch it, the audio starts repeating from the beginning, not from where the loop point is.

I zoomed in on the track in SF and selected the loop, then copied and pasted the loop into the track - the loop is 4.5 seconds and I needed to add 45 seconds of audio, so I pasted it 10 times and saved the file... not the elegance of setting a sustaining loop, but it seems to work.

thanks again,
