This morning I imported a .wav file created in Sound Forge 4.5 into the 8.0 and it would not play back at all. The first attempt (there were peaks built although it took forever) resulted in a very slow speed (the voice sounded like 7.5 ips tape played back at 3.75 ips) and the second time the sound was just static. The sound file in question played on RealPlayer so I am fairly sure the file is okay. Nothing else seems to play back either although every other sound on the machine is just fine. When I look at the preferences for Audio in SF 8.0, the playback setting for Microsoft Sound Mapper is greyed out. What can I adjust to get playback from Sound Forge? Thanks!
