I am very new to mixing and audio mashing. I thought it would be easy to take two tracks, sync up the beats and mix them together using Sound Forge Audio Studio. It seems very cumbersome to use the time stretch feature on one track, guess if it is close to being in sync with the other track since I can't play them at the same time, then mix them. If it is not quite right, I have to undue the mix, open the first track again and redo the time stretch. Then try mixing again. Is there a simpler way? Can I do this easier if I upgrade to Sound Forge? Thanks. |

I'm not exactly sure what you tring to do but, you probably need a multi-track application like Vegas. Sound Forge is primarily a mono or stereo editing/mastering application. |

Thanks rraud. When I say tracks, I mean songs. I am hoping to take 2 songs and meld them together. But it is difficult to sync up the beats with SFAS. I will take a look at Vegas. I was hoping to keep the cost under $200 but maybe I have to raise that. Thanks again. Karl H. |

Try ACID, as this is what it is one of the things it was designed to do. Peter |
