Recorded speech on a compact flash card using Marantz PMD 671 digital recorder at 16 bit, 160 kbps, 48,000 Hz. Made 7 tracks. Was able to import all tracks into SoundForge 8 except one, track 6. Size of this file is 111 MB, running 1 HR 34 MIN. Windows Media Player and Quicktime apps are able to playback this audio file. When I tried to import it into SF 8, I was only able to import 2.5 secords of the file. After several attempts to import it, SF 8 froze. Made another copy of the file from the original master. Tried importing it but no change in problem. Burned file onto a CD using Stomp's Record Now Max but no change in problem. Uninstalled SF and reinstalled. No change in problem. Can anyone solve this problem? Has anyone run into this problem. On playback, there is no obvious problem I can hear. Thanks for your replies. DFung
