Anyone have the Mike Crash plugins?

plasmavideo wrote on 12/7/2005, 6:00 PM
I want to try out several of Mike Crash's plugins mentioned in these forums, so I accessed his site and downloaded several. When I try to unzip them, they all have a message saying that they are corrupted. Repeated downloads didn't help.

Does anyone have them or a know of place I can find them at a different site?

Thanks.

Tom

Just so ya know, I think Mike's plugins are worth the effort. Love the smoother and auto levels filters. Great stuff.

thanks again Mike

I use the auto levels a lot - the gamma selector is great. Its interesting to compare the result to the Sony Levels.

I love his Auto Levels. I was playing with some footage from the XLH1 cam and threw Auto Levels on it and man, it looked like it removed the nastiest film over the image bring the colors much crisper and lifelike. Amazing. :)

Is there a direct link anywhere for these?

Here's the direct link to his site. The "all tools" option has never worked for me. The individual tools seem to work most of the time.

In testing just now, I managed to get 1 out of about 5 tries to work in download various pieces from his site. You may be better off e-mailing someone who has already downloaded them.

Make sure you get the most recent versions. There were some fixes not too long ago.

I've never figured out the auto levels, plus I can't find a tutorial anywhere. All I got when I used it was "flickering" where the brightness jumped up and down as the scene changed. A bad result. Any tips or know where I can find a tutorial? TIA.

P.S. Everyone got the filters who need them? I have them as well.
