Subject:Smpte DAT to SF7 keeping Smpte info HELP

The Problem:
1)Have a HHB DAT recorder with Smpte time code in/out (balanced) that I would like to get in to the computer to SF7 and retain the Smpte data , what do I need to do this?
2) In what format file do I have to save the completed audio file in order to retain the Smpte data so that other programs may use it to sync to?
