I have a wav file that is about three minutes long. The file has to be converted to a vox file for the phone answering system that I'll be using the message in. I'm using Screenblast Sound Forge. When I try to save the file as a vox the message ends up being about 20 minutes long. How can I save the file in vox and not change the play time of the message? Thanks |

I have no experience with that format but, I suspect you need to set or change the sample rate and "Resample" before saving as a vox file. First find out what sample rate you want to use.. (File size versus Quality, 11 or 22khz would probably be sufficant for a POTS line) then resample, Process> Resample. Save as .vox and select the rate you just resampled to in the Default Template pull-down menu. |
