Beans, lol..........right. Yeah, I have some (fair) sounds but I'd like to tweak them to sound better. I'm currently reading Soundforge8 power! And its going interesting. Was just looking to get me feet wet with some tuts. Also, can you recommend a good place to get sounds .wav files? Thanks Fess Message last edited on5/2/2006 11:43:04 AM byFess. |

What works for me in sweetening up sound fx are reverb and EQ. Use Acoustic Mirror or another IR type reverb and a good EQ plug-in. Warning - if you are going to trim down the sounds after adding something like reverb, be careful as you may cut off the reverb tail. It may not show on the waveform too well, but it's there. As far as to finding fx, Sony has 2 5 disc sets available that I believe are available together for around $500 for the pair. There are other sources available on the web; do a search. Also do a search on the forums here, as sound fx have been talked about before, and some sources for same have been given. Jack |

Jack, Thanks for responding, I'm currently studying the EQ (grahic, parametric, paragraphic) in the "Processing" menu. Very interesting tweaks. I'll explore your suggestions.. Yeah I saw those CD before, but $500 is way more than I want to spend for some sounds. Regards Fess |
