I'm doing production work for Sony's PSP game platform. Why is output from Sound Forge's ATRAC3 codec incompatible with the ATRAC3 format used on the PSP? Also, why aren't ATRAC3 monophonic options available? Thanks A |

We will look into it. Which firmware version are you using on the PSP? Mono ATRAC3 templates will be supported in future releases of SMS products. J. Message last edited on7/11/2006 10:47:02 AM byForumAdmin. |

I'm working on the latest firmware. The supported PSP formats are: Atrac3plus mono mode bitrates: 32k,48k,64k,96k,128k Atrac3plus stereo mode bitrates: 48,64,96,128,192,256 Atrac3 stereo mode bitrates: 66,105,132 All in kbps. It would be cool to have this be able to script for it... Thanks. A |

Okay, how and where are you transferring the files to the PSP? If you are copying manually, note that the PSP will only recognize files one sub-folder level below the unencrypted music folder (e.g. X:\PSP\MUSIC\<my folder>, not X:\PSP\MUSIC\<my folder>\<my sub-folder>).
