Anyone Using Tascam FW-1884?

I'm just curious as to how well the Tascam FW interfaces work with Acid, Vegas, SF, etc. I've got both a Presonus Firestation and an M-Audio FW410 and have had good luck.

I'm leaning toward the Tascam as opposed to the M-Audio based on the recently lower price and the insert on each channel. It is also nice that you can expand the unit with additional faders.

Thoughts?

I don't really like the FireWire Mixers. I use both a PC & a Mac and my mixer is connected to both. With this setup anything connected to my mixer can be routed to either of my Computers. Also, either of my computers can be routed/recorded to the other.

The FireWire mixers seem like a good idea but they don't seem very expandable. Sounds like they are kind of limiting to me. Although, if you are only running one computer and do not need expandability (not just faders)... I can see where they would sound like a good thing.

Just going off the names... I would go with TASCAM.
