Subject:SF used as a Vegas sound plug-in

I use SF to improve sound tracks from DV videos finished off in Vegas. Starting from an Audio track open in Vegas, I get the option to 'Open a copy in SF'. This creates a wav file which, when Saved, becomes an audio Take in Vegas. When I select a portion of the track in Vegas, even when the track has been cut into pieces, the whole track file is opened in SF... This becomes a problem when the audio file is 60min long, as the wav file counts in gigas... Is it not possible to open in SF just the selected portion ? |

If you have an event in Vegas and select "Open 'Copy' in Sound Forge" ,then Vegas creates a copy of the event and then opens only that copied event section in Sound Forge. If you select "Open in Sound Forge" then the entire file is opened in Forge with that section highlighted in SoundForge. You need to make sure that the event is first split into its own seperate event in Vegas, then click on that smaller event and do the "Open 'Copy' in Sound Forge".
