Subject:Selection Tool Problem

Whenever I go to select something in my audio file, the selection tool will take over and make the selection whatever size it wants. (Always bigger than what I selected.) I'm trying to edit out small glitches and this is getting really annoying because I cannot be exact. Does my selection tool have a mind of it's own, or is there a setting that I need to change...HELP!

Change "Zero Crossing" parameters under "Options> Preferences> Editing"

To clarify, it sounds like "Options->Auto Snap to Time" or "Options->Auto Snap to Zero" is enabled.

If you don't want the behavior at all, just turn them off.
