Getting Music into program -Sound Forge - PC - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

I sometimes use Band-In-A-Box with a sound module to create some pretty cool soundtrack music for documentaries. I've used a 1/8" plug off the sound module running into the line-in jack on my computer, but I'm wondering if there's a better way. I bought an M-Audio USB external component (line runs into the M-Audio and then into the USB into your computer), but I can't get it to work. Anyone have a better way of getting the best sound from an external source (instrument, line-in) into SF?
