I've been experimenting with 24bit/88.2K sound clips using ASIO on my RME HDSP9632 card. SF 8.0d seems to record and handle the audio clips fine, except that it regularly seems to become confused and start playing them back at the wrong tempo/pitch. I assume this means it thinks 88.2K is actually some other sample rate, like 96K or something. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour? |

I've never encountered a problem like that before. Are you recording and playing back with the same device. I've had other weird problems when I record with one (usually my MOTU Ultralite) and playback with another (either Creative Audigy 4Pro or MAudio 2496). Strange behaviours. That said, this particular problem just sounds like a mismatch of sample rate, OR, I suppose it could be the ever stealthy "I've turned my audio into a loop and I'm playing back at a different tempo." I've done that to myself more than once. Beyond that...weird problem for sure. |

I'm recording and playing back on the same RME device, using SF for both operations. I'm not intentionally looping. I'm just playing the clip back from start to finish. |
