When recording my sound seems limited -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:When recording my sound seems limited Posted by: zamdaman Date:1/9/2007 6:47:25 AM I have all my volume settings just right, no clipping, I can see the meters never clip even when I put the volume at it's loudest before & during recording. And when I do record at a acceptable level, the waveform looks like the sound was clipped off at it's peaks. Even when I record at a very low level, the waveform still looks chopped off. I didnt change any of my settings prior to the update to 8.0d. Is there a setting that got re-enabled that i missed?
