I want to take the sound from a stereo cassette tape connected to my PC and record it as a file. I can hear the tape through my PC's speakers. I do not know how to start capturing the audio. I assume there is some configuration setup that is not correct. It could also be a low-end card or not know how to do it withing the program. I am new at this. Windows XP w/SP-2 SF Audio Studio 8 (build 36) Intel P4 dual processor, 2 GB RAM, 3.4 GHz 150 GB hard drive w/130 GB available Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM) Any help would be appreciated. Help | Contents | Recording | Overview ( or equivalent help section in your version) is about as straightforward and concise as any info you could be given here. Even has a section on setting up your sound card ! Hope your Help scetion is as comprehenive as mine (ordinary SF8) But in short, you need to select your soundcard in Options | Preferences | Audio Device, and also the desired inputs in the record dialogue. geoff Message last edited on3/18/2007 3:56:10 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

Geoff Wood, Thank you very much. I did much more research and I did what you said. Everything is working. |
