Subject:SF9 strange color behavior

The colors of my selected waveform will suddenly change color when I do one of two things:

(1) Adjust the custom colors of the waves and click OK

(2) Customize my toolbars and click OK

The new channel indicators in the level ruler as well as meters will also turn the same color. Also, there no longer seems to be a way to customize the color of the selected waveform, just the selected background. Why was this taken out?

Customize of selected color was taken out because there isn't just one form of selection anymore. There's at least types of selection, more if you count some specialized actions. We use various combinations of brightness and color saturation to indicate selection, and we let you control those as a group.

You can't control the color of the selected background either. You can only control it's brightness and saturation.

So does this mean that the awful baby-blue for my wave selection is permanent? I see that the hue lever is greyed out under Wave: Data Brightness, but it's not greyed out under Wave: Selection, making it appear as though the user can change the hue, even though moving it back and forth does nothing. Perhaps it should be greyed out here too.

You can change the color of the channel from blue to any other color, That will change the selection and also the non-selection color.

Or you can de-saturate the color and push it more towards black or white.

What you can't do is to make selection be a different hue than non-selection.
