Subject:Sample Rate Converter in SF9 improved?

One of my biggest bug-bears was having to use a third-party software to resample audio, then bring it back in to Sound Forge for further editing - and although Sound Forge has a sample rate converter and a level 4 for accuracy, I have never found the conversion accurate enough for critical resampling. Has the SRC been improved for version 9? It would be really helpful if someone from the company could discuss the SRC in Sound Forge and whether there have been any revisions/improvements to it since 8. Thanks. |

I don't know if there have been any improvements. I was hoping when I saw the IzoTope bundle that they might have licensed SRC and dither from IzoTope as well but no luck. I did some quick testing with sine sweeps and spectrum analysis going from 96k to 44.1 and it still looks pretty murky - reflections bouncing all over the place. Oh well. |
