I have seen some strange behaviors on SF9. 1. SF9 did not create files on "Sony SetUp" folder at the time of installing. I un-installed and re-installed, but it did not make them for the second time, neither. Actually, CD architect did the same thing. 2. After saving as .ac3, the following warning shows up: An error occurred while saving one or more file. The requested plug-in does not have the necessary features unlocked. And if I check the detail box, it says, the file could not be open. You need to obtain an MP3 license to open it. What does AC-3 have to do with MP3? Plus I have no problem with saving MP3. I guess I get this message because I don't have AC-3 player installed on my pc, but I still don't understand why SF9 gives me this error, though. we cannot open AC-3 files on SF9, anyway. Also, I don't get any error message when saving ac3 with Vegas 7.0. 3. When running Statistics, it seems that RMS level shows about double of actual value. When I check statistics of a file with SF8, RMS level shows 13dB and with SF9, it shows 26dB. Has anyone seen these issues? |

1) I don't think CD installs need to do this. 2) This is a bug. Our license agreement with Dolby does not allow us to open the .ac3 file. The file should have been saved, but Forge should not be trying to re-open it (or give you the bogus mp3 error message). 3) Make sure you've installed the 9.0a update. J. |
