Hi, This is partly a test to prove my new account is working, but also to see if anyone can offer any advice on an install problem I'm having with SF9 - the problem is registered with Tech Support already. The install process seems to launch OK and I get through the part where it asks for an install directory (I accept the default). It then starts to unpack the cab files until it reaches one called "sfmarket.cab", at which point I get an error message popping up which says: Error: CRC Mismatch Aborting installation As it was a downloaded version of SF9, I'm suspecting it may have been corrupted on the way in, but if that were the case, I'm sort of surprised it did anything. DirectX9 and .Net Framwork v2 are installed. |

Definitely try downloading again. CRC errors occur when the OS can't decipher how the data is stored in a file system. Each .cab file in the download is essentially it's own file system that gets unpacked. So it's possible that there is a corruption only in that one .cab file. |

Good call. Dowloaded it again and this time it's installed OK and I've managed to register it with Sony this morning - just need to get the confirmation code into SF9 and I should be good. Interesting that the download file itself looked identical, same file size down to the last byte, but one worked and one didn't. Thanks again |

If you register online from within Sound Forge then activation should be nearly instantaneous. If you use the register through another computer option then the email with the activation code should arrive within a minute or two. If you haven't seen it yet then check your spam/junk folder. |

I was getting it sorted at home before I went to work and didn't hve time to move everything round between my PCs. I posted my last note from the office. All sorted now though, and eveything seems to be working fine, SF9, CD Architect & the iZotope stuff. Thanks for the help. |
