I'm pretty inexperienced with SF, but have used Audition for specific tasks for video editing. Audition allows you to copy a sample of audio and utilize that clip as a basis for noise reduction. You can then select the whole audio file and apply the noise reduction accordingly. How do you do this in SF9??? I understand how to select the section of audio as a sample - just want to know how I can take that noise sample and have it apply across the whole audio file. Make sense??? Cliff Etzel bluprojekt |

This changed between versions 8 and 9, so it's a little surprising how easy it is. The Sound Forge window is still active behind the Noise Reduction window. So after you've captured the noiseprint on a small selection, double-click on the Sound Forge timeline to select the entire file, or, if you're in a region double click will select that whole region and triple click will select the whole file. Very easy. |

in addition, if applying the "noise print" to the entire file, Right-click the grey area on the right side of the NR window around the Real time, Bypass boxes and select "Apply to all data".. (unless they've done away with that too) |
