Vegas Pro won't search for missing media files

Before v8, Vegas had the option of searching drives/folders for missing media files when opening a project. And if you found one matching file and others were missing, Vegas would ask if you wanted to use the same path for subsequent missing media.

Now in v8 the only options are to Specifiy a Replacement File or ignore the error.

Hmmmmm.

Works fine for me (trial version). II tested it this way:

Exit project,/shut down V-8, temporarily remove a couple of files from the folder containing them in XP Explorer, restart project in V-8.:
The options I get are:

-- Search for missing file.(Grayed out in my case, I don't have Vid Cap fired up)
-- Recapture all offline media (Grayed out)

I repeated the above steps to put the files back in said folder, and when V-8 fired up,, it acted as is should: no files missing = no pop-up window with options.
