V8 - Can't capture HDV

Installed V8, did some work in SD, captured a whole DV tape, did some editing, rendering to WMV, set up my windows preferences, got the Bella KB and Contour shuttle set up, even got DeShaker working. Had a couple of crashes right clicking on clips in the explorer.

Now i am trying to capture HDV, and the little box pops up asking me whether i want DV or HDV/SDI, i select HDS/SDI, the box goes away, and nothing else happens. Tried both the HC1, and the V1U, rebooting, and nothing. This is a fresh install of XP, and i haven't yet re-installed NEO, but the internal capture should work ...

Incidentally it will print to HDV tape just fine (with device control)

It seems that their actual driver is crashing when it's ready to open capture... file a bug report.

Check to make sure your capture settings are pointed to open VidCap - earlier builds were a bit buggy with this. You may just be missing the link to the capture app.

VidCap works fine, but it doesn't do HDV. Switching back and forth from internal to external capture in the preferences, i can no longer get the little box that asks me whether i want HDV or SDI. i guess i will have to save my windows preferences and try deleting the preferences file.

Ok, deleting the preference file (ctrl-shift when starting Vegas) fixed it for now ...
