It really shouldn't matter which Audio Editor you're using, although I'd be neglecting my duty if I didn't mention that Sound Forge XP 4.5 can set ACID properties prior to adding them into ACID, it's a wonderfully powerful program and it's quite inexpensive, and available for download from our website. In terms of how to ACIDize a file, just load it into ACID and double-click on the colorful loop icon at the left edge of the track list. Then go down to the bottom where the Properties page is, and set the Number of beats and the Root note for Transposing (ACID will guess, but may guess wrong in some cases--you'll have to determine those for yourself--if it's drums, you'll want to select 'Don't Transpose'). You also have the option of changing your .wav file to a One-shot or Disk-based, if you don't want it to loop. If you have ACID Pro, you'll also be able to go in and manually tweak the Stretch Properties, which helps ACID know where it's allowed to stretch, and which parts should not be stretched. I hope this helps. James D'Adamo wrote: >>I use goldwave as my editor. How do I acidize a wav file? >> >>thanks, >> >>jd >> |
