I don't know if many others have this same problem...but I have been
working at it for a while
and have not been able to sync acid with my external hardware (an 808,
and tr-707 all ran
through a din to midi sync box, in particular the korg-kms-30 sync
box)

I want to use the 808 to start and to stop ALL the other units
including ACID...so my setup is

1) 808 DIN OUT to DIN IN on the sync box
2) MIDI SYNC OUT to 707 MIDI IN
3) MIDI SYNC OUT to Soundcard MIDI IN

The sync box features 2 MIDI OUTS, and am able to start the 707 with
no problems...but ACID
on the other hand will not start. I know the MIDI is working
correctly on my soundcard because I
use it quite often to sync ReBirth2 with no problems.

I have went through the preferences in ACID, selected the MTC input
device as my correct
soundcard and set the rate at 30 fps NON-DROP, made sure that Chase to
MIDI Clock option
was selected...right click on the CLOCK above the track view to enable
MIDI TIME CODE IN...

I have been trying to sync these devices for almost a month now with
no luck...I want to be able
to start and stop acid using the 808, just I do in Rebirth2...without
being able to do this...the
ACID program will be useless for me, and will have been waste of
money. ANY help/tips or
ideas pertaining to my problem will be GREATLY appreciated.

Pash:

ACID Pro does not chase MIDI Sync (MIDI Clock). It will generate MIDI Clock and MIDI Time Code (MTC). It will chase to MTC.

The only option you have is to make ACID your master and have it start and stop your external hardware and ReBirth.
