Acid hangs on loading files on a regular basis. It's
nearly unusable at this point. It doesn't hang for every
file, the problems are file-specific. However I can't just
abandon the work I have done, so saying it's file-specific
doesn't help me.

I'm using a compaq presario 5020 with Windows 98, an ESS
soundcard and a Darla soundcard.

Is there any public place to look up known bugs? A
searchable database of problems?

Please contact our tech support. They _will_ help you. The contact
information came with ACID.
