I posted a request for help with Media Manager 4 days ago and have't had a response yet. MM has NEVER worked on my system and I'd like to fix it as it apears to be a worthwhile product. I understand it may take some time for a response, but this strikes me as excessive. Any one else with a similar experience? Thanks. |

Which version of acid are you using, what is your operating system, and what version of MM do you have installed? Ken |

I have version 6.0d (build 363) of Acid Pro, and I downloaded the most current version of MM from the Sony website. My O/S is Windows XP with Service Pack 2. |

Ok, that's narrowing it down a bit. In what way does it not work? By that - does it show and throw errors, does it not appear?? Also, do you keep your computer updated with Windows updates? Ken |

I dont' mean to be rude, but I copied and pasted the entire message I was receiving in what I sent initially nine days ago, and the problem hasn't yet been rectified. That original message follows this communication. To be honest, I realize you guys are busy, but at this point I'm so completely frustrated that I'd like to simply completely delete MM from my system and do without it. Would you be kind enough to supply complete insstructions for doing that. Thank you. (following is the original message I sent) Customer (Jerry Schneyer) 09/24/2007 03:47 PM I've never been able to get Media Manager to work properly. Every time I load Acid, I get a message stating" the media manager had a problem accessing the media library. the media library will be closed". When I click the details button, I get the following information that I've cut and pasted. Any suggestions? Incidentally, Acid is installed on teh C drive of my Sweetwater Creation Station, and all my Acid loops are on the D Drive in a folder titled "Acid Loops". Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. I have a couple of thoughts. Firstly, trying MM2.3 (the one that is meant for Vegas 8). It uses a newer version of SQL (2005). Or alternatively, downloading a new copy of SQL yourself and seeing if that updates the engine that Sony MM is trying to access. I won't have access to whatever you sent to Sony 9 days ago, I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I'm just simply another user on here who's trying to be nice and helpful Ken |

Well thank you for trying. I have already downloaded the latest version of MM and tried it, to no avail. I apologize if I seemed rude, but that means I still don't have an answer from Sony which is what has me so ticked off. I don't mind waiting a reasonable period of time for a response, but this is a bit much. |

Kona Guy - Any luck yet? I've just tried installing Acid Pro 6 and am getting error messages about MSSQL$SONY_MEDIAMGR not existing. I have a Media Manager folder and this above-mentioned folder is inside that but Acid won't let me direct it to that folder. I don't know if I need Media Manager but it was supposed to be included as part of the program, it would be nice to have the choice of using it or not. (And, Happy Holidays everyone!)
