Subject:Install needs administrator's account?

I just downloaded the file acid20_enu and attempted to install it. I went through the user agreement, etc and it began copying files. Half-way through, it gives me this error: You do not have access to make the required system configuration modificiations. Please rerun this installation from an administrator's account. My home computer does not have an administrator, because that could only be me. What's up? I am anxious to try it out. Carl |

Carl, Which operating system are you using? If it's Windows NT, check that your account has full administrative rights to the computer. NT security normally would prevent you from installing software as a non-administrator. Carl Sherman wrote: >>I just downloaded the file acid20_enu and attempted to >>install it. Me too on this one - install of Acid Music 2.0 stops midway.... I am running a standalone Win95(OSR2). I can run the partially installed product, but I don't know what I'm missing (no icons, etc). Ideas ??? Tnx, J. Frank LaRosa wrote: >>Carl, >> >>Which operating system are you using? >> >>If it's Windows NT, check that your account has full administrative >>rights to the computer.
