Subject:recording/swapping between programs

I'm having a hard time here. I really want to record a
loop from an mp3 file, but when I try, Acid doesn't pick it
up. I've also tried importing it in wav format recorded
with another program, but Acid picks it up as blocky,
choppy, and very distorted. I think I'm going mad, here.

Otherwise, this program is a lot of fun.
