Subject:How can I import cd audio files into Acid?

I want to import cd audio files into acid so that I can
create loops from existing songs. Do I have to convert the
cd audio file into a different format? If so, which one
(.acd?) Thanks for any help!

ACID uses wave files as its media type. You need to either capture
(record) the audio from your CD or rip the audio directly from the CD
using a tool like CD Architect.
