Subject:mpeg-2 audio from DCR-SR100

Hello,

I have audio studio 9 trial version, and when an mpeg-2 file made by sony DCR-SR100 camcorder is loaded, there is only the video track showing. The audio track is empty. There's no problem with editing mpeg-2 audio non-distructively in Vegas movie studio 6b, but would like to have more control over the audio track. It should not be necessary to convert the mpeg-2 file to something else just to change the audio format, unless it is somehow possible to convert only the audio to some PCM format and leave the video alone, which is already in bad enough shape for camera original as mpeg-2.
Any new codecs, and how do I install them?

i don't think the trial versions will open the MPEG-1,2 or 4 formats. Contact SCS for more info.
As a work-around you could render the audio in Vegas as wave file, work on it in SF, then lay it back to Vegas.
