Subject:Question about Bootcamp and using SF on a Mac

Hello,
I am new to this forum.

I recently bought a Mac and would like to run Windows XP on my Mac.

Question:
I have a lot of music files and I would like to access them on both operating systems.
Is this possible?

Can I edit a file in Sound Forge, save it to MP3 and access it with either system?

I'm thinking about dedicating half of the hard drive to Windows because I have several Windows programs and not many for Mac.

For now, I am only interested in using the Mac for the internet and the software that comes with it.

I was interested in Final Cut Pro but I was talked out of it. I am now looking into buying Vegas Pro 8.

Thanks,
Kenny Q

If you format the windows partition to fat32 you have access to the files in the XP partition from the mac OS but not the other way around. You can't access files on the mac partition while booted to XP. Although incovenient, it makes sense that Apple wouldn't want to give MS an equally weighted feature. That said, I've heard some users state that the intel mac is the best PC they ever owned.
