Subject:Revovering a TMP file in ACID V1.0

I finished writing one of my songs today and my computer crashed whilst it was saving. When i tried to open it again after the computer booted up again i found that the file was empty (0 bytes) and obviously wouldnt load. I went into the ACID main directory and found a file called UNDC0A2.TMP that contained all the information regarding the song i lost. It seems this is some sort of backup of the song. It has all the names/paths of the files inside some jumbled HEX which i presume is the extra envelope/track information regarding my song. Now is there any way i can recover my song from this file ? |

Hi James, If the file is a fully formed ACID RIFF file that is used as temporary storage, the solution would be to simply rename the file to have an .ACD extension and then open it. I haven't had Acid crash on me during save, so I can't confirm that such a temp file would be created or of what nature it would be, but I am very interesting in seeing it. Would you mind sending me a copy of the .TMP file? Thanks, Chris H.
