Subject:Pencil tool not working in SF 9

Can someone explain why the pencil tool isn't working? It doesn't cycle through in tools. If I click the upper left tool it goes edit to zoom, nothing else.

Thanks for any help. I've had Sound Forge several years and never saw this one before and I have used the pencil tool several times.

Try zooming in farther. On my screen the pencil tool is inactive until zoomed in to at least 1:32. Seems sensible. In fact, if i was going to make such a restriction i probably would have set it at 1:4 instead.

The pencil tool is only accessible below a specific zoom ratio (1:32 by default). This is not new behavior.

You can select a lower ratio in Options->Preferences->Editing ("Pencil tool maximum zoom ratio") but currently nothing higher than 1:32.
