Subject:corrupted acid files

When i hit ctrl+s to save, i sometimes get an invalid lage
fault and acid shuts down. Upon trying to reopen the file i
get the message. "An error occurred when opening
d:/thefile.acd. It is most likely corrupted or of an
unknown format. A neccessary riff header is missing"

This has happened to me twice.

I need to know if there is any way to fix this error and
revive the corrupted file. This would be the most valuable
information any1 could give me. Any input is greatly
appreciated. Thank you

The first thing to do is to see if there is anything left of the file
by checking its file size. If it is 0K then there file is gone, and
unless acid makes a temp file somewhere (i haven't seen one before,
but I haven't ever had this problem) there is, unfortunately, nothing
to recover.
