Subject:Sony Music Studio & Audio Studio. Differences?

I recently purchased AUDIO Studio and MUSIC Studio (as a newbie). All I need to do is create home movies (probably ending up on living room DVDs, using Sony Vegas also got separate)

For these home movies (maybe in future some light business presentations), I'll need to maybe do things like (before add into a Vegas sountrack)...
a) edit the crummy sound track from the camcorder,
b) edit a CD song, such as reducing it's volume or mixing something else into it,
c) create a cool/repetitive 'home-made' sound beat for background music for a video and/or photo story on DVD, and
d) create a simple/single sound effect like a tone going downward, or screach, or ding, or whatever,
d) other things as I figure out what most people do with this software

Wondered if could just ask for a few brief insights into following...

1) Both of these software apps: What's general difference in Sony Acid MUSIC Studio (in terms of purpose and 'when to use') and the Sony Sound Forge AUDIO studio. In layman's terms?

2) Sony Acid MUSIC Studio. Got a few simple examples (from different posters) of 'when and how' Sony MUSIC studio should be used?

3) Sony Sound Forge AUDIO Studio. Got a few simple examples (from different posters) of 'when and how' Sony AUDIO studio should be used?

Thanks for patience with a new user,
George

Well, Sound Forge is primarily an audio editor... this would be the program you'd use to try and improve your Camcorder's crappy sound, for instance. So, from your list, Sound Forge could be used for a), b), and d). It won't add alot to the process of creating a simple tune, though... aside from adding various effects and processing it if necessary after you actually produce it.

I don't own any of the ACID products personally, but as I understand it they're loop-based music production tools. ACID would be used for c) on your list.
