Subject:Importing files

I've recorded a small audio file for use in one of my
completed projects. Using Acid explorer I can locate the
file, but when I double-click on it (thinking it will be
shown as an added track in the project), the project closes
and only the audio file is shown as a single track. Can
someone help? Thanks.
