Well, this is so basic that I almost dont' understand what the probem
is... Do you mean that you don't know how to save a, for example,
that you downloaded from the net and just save it to your disk or do
you mean you don't know how to save files as loops in ACID?

Please describe a bit more in detail what the problem is!

What I mean is that the loop discs have to be opened in Acid to be
read, right? So by what mechanism should I assign these to the hard
drive? Can I just save the entire loop disc to the drive or does it
just need to be done in the context of an acid session? When I go to
save a session there appears to be no way of assigning the project
with the loops to the hard drive. I have to reload all loops when I
bring the project back up. This is what I want to avoid. So, i hope
this helps. I appreciate your input!

Ok... I think I get your point now! You are using loops from a CD and
you want them to be on the hard drive and then ACID won't find the
loops. The only advice I can give you is:

Copy all the loops (or entire CD) you use in the song to some folder
somewhere on the harddrive. Then you open the song and as soon as
ACID can't find a loop it will ask you if you want to ignore it or if
you want to point it out yourself where it resides. If the rest of
the loops in the song are placed in the same folder acid will just
load the whole song but if the other loops are in other folders you
will have to do the same thing for all the loops. Then, when its' all
loaded (from the harddrive) you just save the song again... Acid will
now search on the places you pointed out next time you open the song
and you can remove the CD.

Is this the answer?
