How do I raise the volume without giving the output that crackly sound? Is there a way? I realize that the maximum volume is reached when on the volume display, it reaches red, but the songs I create always seem quieter than other songs because I don't want the quality to suffer in return for volume. I own a mastering studio, and that's what I do when clients come into my studio. I hand them a brochure that explains mastering in a simple language that they can understand. Your songs don't sound as loud as CD's you purchase because they havn't been Mastered, Every CD that you purchased has been put through the mastering process and mastering will usually almost double the volume level. This is achieved through running your song through compressors, more importantly Mult-band compressors. So visit a mastering house, or ship it off to someone like me. Ahhhh...musicians usually run into this question. You have to
