Subject:Changing pitch while changing tempo for better sound quality

Why is the "Stretching method:" option disabled for disk-
based tracks in Acid Pro? I want to stretch a disk-based
track to the current tempo and have the pitch increase as
the tempo increases like a standard pitch control. Can
this be done?
