I'm a drummer and wanted to know if acid or another program could seperate wav. or mp3 files. What I mean by this is being able to import the sound file, then break it down into the individual instruments. This way I could isolate the drum parts. I'm new to all this so newbie instructions would be appreciated. Also if it is possible, can the individual parts such as bass drum and snare for example be amplified above the other parts. Thanks Vince |

a good program to do this with (assuming your samples contain only drum sounds or beats) is Recycle. you can very easily slice up your beat into multiple parts and export them as individual samples. the good thing about Recycle is that it can "predict" where the kicks or snares will be, so you only have to slide a bar and it will automatically select the regions for you. you can download a demo (and read more info) here: http://www.propellerheads.se/ good luck. This is not possible, and here's my newbie explanation for this. The songs you are listening too are "mixed" and "mastered", just as a cake has been "mixed" and "baked". Now what you're asking to do is to be able to remove an Egg out of that baked cake. Also the things you can do is you can enhance that cake, like adding sugar, but you can't really take sugar away....are you getting my analogy? You can't take out the seperate ingredients from a song. :-) vince wrote: >>I'm a drummer and wanted to know if acid or another program >>could seperate wav. or mp3 files.
