Missing RIFF File -ACID Product Family - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

Subject:Missing RIFF File Posted by: Leesus2000 Date:12/7/2000 12:49:00 PM When try to play a wave file, I get an error that says I'm missing an RIFF file. Does anyone know how i can fix this? thanks

Check the file size of the wave file. If it is 0 bytes, then there is nothng to fix because the wave file is gone. Otherwise, you can try opening the file in another program to see if that works. You could also open the wave file into Sound Forge or another audio editor as a "Raw" file - you wil have a few errant samples at the front of the waveform, and maybe some at the end, but it should be a very small amount and you could then just trim them off.
