Okay, here goes: "GONNA NEED A LITTLE MORE INFO HERE!!!!" This could be caused by a number of things, for example, incorrect routing of the signal. What sound card do you have, how are you recording your songs, what software are you using. Answers to these questions will most likely help people get you the answer you are looking for. ok here's the info. my sound card is the creative audioPCI es1371. all the settings for this card are corrrect. i have a lot of hard drive space to work with, and to my knowledge i have everything in acid set correctly. i am recording, it's just that after it is done recording all i get when i play the file back (in winamp) is dull static. i can faintly here the song that i created, and all of the line in and record volume settings are turned up. i am using acid on windows 2000, so i don't know if there is anything that might have to do special. thank you for writing back, and if you could, would please explain what you meant by "incorrect routing of the signal". Thank you, Hank James Harrison wrote: >> >>Okay, here goes: >> >>"GONNA NEED A LITTLE MORE INFO HERE!!!!" >> >>This could be caused by a number of things, for example, incorrect routing of the signal. Hi Hank, A few questions: 1) Do you have the latest version of ACID (2.0d)? This is freely available from our Downloads page. 2) What kind of file are you encoding to? Are you encoding an .mp3 or .wav and having problems with WinAmp? I figure it's an mp3, and if so, please let me know what your settings are. 3) Instead of an .mp3, can you save a mixed .wav file out of ACID and then get it to properly playback in another application, like WinAmp or Windows Media Player?
