Hi can anyone help please, I have a soundblaster awe 64 soundcard When I am recording (guitar or bass) ,as soon as I begin the recording, the sound that gets played back (what is already in acid, for example a drum loop) is always distorted and growly, and stalls, making it impossible to play along with the track whilst recording, I have checked all of the windows settings and they all seem ok, I have plenty of hard drive space too. Hi Stef, I believe this might be because the AWE card only provides pseudo-full-duplex capabilities. In order to have a card play and record at the same time, it must be full duplex. I think the AWE card gets around this somehow through software rather than providing full hardware support. You might want to consider upgrading to a better card. Best, Scott -- Scott R.
