flanger on mix to new track!!! -ACID Product Family

Reply by: DaveP Date:12/19/2000 5:54:00 PM Hi Adam: I would make sure that you have "acidized" the loop that you have created prior to mixing to a new track. Here are some instructions on how to do this.Once you have painted an audio sample into Acid you would highlight the audio sample by selecting it with your cursor. You would then hit the properties tab in the bottom right hand corner of Acid. Now you should now be looking at the loop's waveform. If you have a file that you would like to play only once you would select for the track type option one shot. You could also designate the root note for transposing in this same area. The root note for transposing would be the actual key that the one shot is in. You would want to set this so if later when you are using the loop in a project and you wanted to apply a key change it would play the one shot at the proper key. This would also be pertinent to all of the other possible track types. If you had a audio sample that you wanted to play looped for the track type you would choose loop. You would also want to include the number of beats that are in the loop. If you have files that a recorded into Acid they will generally show up in projects as disk based tracks. If you wanted to have a disk based track play back in sync with all of the other loops that you are using in your project you would follow the aforementioned steps. You would for track type choose Disk-Based but you would also want to include the tempo of the disk based track. This step will insure that the track is played back properly. Now for the information that you have entered to stay intact with the file you would have to hit the little button that looks like a 3.5 inch floppy on the properties tab.
