Subject:Why won't it stop this damn skipping?!

Guys, you gotta help me here. I have a "full" version of
Acid 2.0 and it all runs fine, with one problem: it won't
let me paint, erase, stop at, move, or add in ANY sound
clips unless it's in increments of 4 seconds. The one at my
school lets me do that stuff with any amount of time, no
matter what size. What's the deal?!

Sounds like "Snap To" is set to Whole Note. Try using
Options>Snap To on the menu bar and select the desired snap
preference OR toggle snapping on and off by using F8 on
your keyboard.
