Subject:Music Studio 7 Direct x problem

Has anyone had a problem with Music Studio 7 crashing when the boot screen gets to "initializing direct x plug in'?
The program worked for three days then farted out.....running Vista Home Premium...BOO!....any help...would be appreciated
