Subject:Mouse Wheel Zoom

Hi,

I just purchased and downloaded SF 9.0c and am having an issue. I used to have an older version of SF and could easily zoom in and out horizontally with my mouse wheel.

In this new version, it's almost unresponsive when I use my mouse wheel to zoom in or out. It seems to be not very sensitive.

I have no problem scrolling in any other program (like Internet Explorer.)

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Thanks.

It sounds like something else is intercepting and attempting to translate the wheel messages. If your mouse has its own control panel, you might see if there is a way to exclude forge90.exe from this type behavior.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am using the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Explorer 2.0 (with optical mouse) for my keyboard/mouse combo.

There are mouse properties I can change, as well as give certain programs different rules but scrolling is now set on what the correct setting should be (Flip 3D.)

I thought I might need a new mouse but since scrolling works fine in I.E. -- there must be some other issue.

Are there any mouse wheel settings in SF itself? I couldn't find any.

There are no mouse-specific settings in Forge. It just listens for the appropriate messages from Windows (hence my hypothesis that something else is intercepting them).

I doubt it will do anything, but if you wish to try it, you can reset all user preferences to their default values by holding down Ctrl+Shift while launching Forge.

no luck with the control-shift start.

think I need a new mouse and keyboard? maybe it's time for a new one.

Not sure what to do now...
