Lately I have been downsampling a lot of files from 192k to 48k. With Sound Forge 8 I've been doing the "Resample" process in the Batch Converter.

Now with Sound Forge 9 I've noticed that there is a "Resample 2" process. It uses three different interpolation algorithms that I'm curious about. They are linear, Lagrange, and sin (x)/x.

I haven't been able to find any documentation on this process and am wondering if anyone is familiar with this version and these algorithms.

Thanks,

Paul

Oops. It is an internal effect that isn't supposed to be showing up anywhere in released builds. It isn't used or exposed anywhere else.

If it works, you are, of course, free to try it out. It's typically faster, but may not provide as high-quality a result as the regular Resample, particularly with respect to the anti-alias/image fiters.
