Subject:Noise Reduction note installing with 90d?

Hello
I'm having a problem with getting the Noise Reduction plugin to install with 90d.
I uninstalled 90c then installed 90d, I noticed that I didnt see the the noise plugin installer screen come up but didnt think much about it. When I went to check that everything worked I got an error message saying the Noise reduction plugin was not installed and that I need to uninstall them in add remove program in windows( all four plugins do the same, the help is also not installed for the plugins). I checked there was no Noise Reduction program listed, can't uninstall. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 90d several times, cleaned every thing out (folders, etc.) registering online and off, same results. I tried installing with the seperate Noise Reduction installer, says there already installed?
Everything else works, including Wave Hammer and iZotope Mastering Effects.
90c was working fine. Maybe a registry issue? Any ideas?
My system specs are listed in my profile but ....
Dell Precision M6300, WinXP sp2, and all Sound Forge requirements.

Plugins not installing:
Vinyl Restoration, Noise Reduction, Clipped Peak Restoration, and Click and Crackle Removal

thanks for your time.
Dave

Ok - what about installing 9c first, then updating - does that work?

I just tried that, strange.
Installed 90c, Then installed 90d, this time the Noise Reduction install started but...
When go into Sound Forge and try to use them I still get the message that they arn't installed and remove them in windows add/remove. Still isn't there to remove in Add/Remove. This time it installed the help for the plugins but not the plugins. When I go into Organize - fxfavorites and look at the properties of the plugs there is no path example: C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio\sfppack1.dll. Has the plugin name and plugin class ID, but no path. They arn't in the folder.
And I made a mistake on one of the names of the plugin, I said Vinyl Removal, its Audio Restorartion.
Any other suggestions from anyone, I'm open to ideas?
Thanks for trying to help.

P.S. I just added my system specs to my Forum Profile, thought i'd already done that , but their viewable now.

Another P.S. Does Sony tech support check in to these forums?

System specs - good - always helpful.
Sony tech support on forums... Not sure - but certainly Sony representatives suc has J (forumadmin), Peter, Dave and a few others that you see occasionally. (you may notice a sticky at the top with info on 9e due shortly - that's proof Sony were here '08! lol)

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/step2.asp?DID=167

It's a link to the noise reduction installer - may be perfect for you (but might not be) - worth a shot!

ps (!) don't get too hung up on the text above in the link, about it being 9c - the ver states 9h)

Hope that helps

Ken

Thanks again, but I already had that downloaded (noisereduction20h.exe), and tried that. Same result, said it was already installed and remove it from add/remove in windows. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times. Cleaned everything out a few times. I have JV16 Power Tools to clean the registry. Nothing has worked. I'm pretty sure it's a registry problem, but what....? Everything else I have installed works fine, Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium, Reason 4, laptop is stable. No viruses.
I'm stumped!!
It installs except for the Noise Reduction plugins. Up all night doing this.
SoundBooth CS3 has noise reduction but....
Windows thinks it's installed and SoundForge is using that info. ( I assume it is)
Will the Sony SoundForge God please look down and have mercy!!! :)
Sorry I'm begining to babble...so irritating.

Ok. Next. I see you use JV16 (I do like regsupreme )
If you know your way around the registry a bit - you could...
Uninstall, delete teh Sony directory and delete the sony keys from the registry.

Or you could wait for the 9e to come out in a week or so and see if that has the magical cure from the Soundforge God?

Otherwise, I'm sure J or someone will see this one monday and offer a nice solution that I've not thought of!

(edit: also forgot. When you installed 9c. DId you run it and test it prior to updating to 9d? - ie - does 9c work?)

I did that already, JV16 has a good registry search function so I did that after the last uninstall. Didn't help.

Yes
Maybe 9e will be the cure, or maybe one of the angels of the Soundforge god (J or someone) can offer some magical cure. That would be nice.

I only tested the Noise Reduction one, it worked on 90c originally . But it won't even install with 9c now. Very strange.
Wait and see I guess.

Replying to my own post but..
Well I fixed it
I have another laptop so I installed 90d on it. Everything installed fine. I didnt run SoundForge, I just got the registry entries and the program files/folders I needed for the Noise Reduction related stuff. Went to my laptop that 90d is on (registered to) and I went added what I needed and checked all the entries. It worked, SoundForge is running fine, all the plugins work, Noise Reduction, Wavehammer, etc.I even got back the uninstall for the Noise Reduction Plugins in Windows Add/Remove.
Thank you JV16 Power Tools.
Thanks you and good night..... umm well its morning , I can sleep now.
